Posted on 13 September 2019 by admin (0)

Traveling light is the way to go for those who do not want to pay huge airfares and be held back by heavy luggage. Using a carry-on is one of the recommended alternatives for light travelers. Read the guidelines below on how to experience smooth trips with a carry-on only.

Check the Airline Restrictions for Carry-On

Airlines have different terms and conditions for using carry-on that you should first check before packing. In most flights, passengers are only allowed carry-on with standard measurements of 22 inches X 14 inches X 9 inches. Others may allow bigger or smaller carry-on but, you should always get clarification from your airline beforehand.

Apart from the above measurements, airlines are also keen on the weight of carry-on that a passenger can bring on the plane. Before packing, make sure that you know the weight limits that the airline allows. If your flight allows for a carry-on and additional personal item, pack the smaller and heavier items in the personal item. Many airlines do not weigh personal items so, that would save you the surprise.

Pack Just a Few Basic Items

Traveling with a carry-on only suggests that you do not want to bring along many travel items. However, it is still important that you know how to pack the carry-on. The most important things that should go therein include two pairs of trousers, 2 shirts and overlays, chargers and adapters, a camera, essential toiletries, and a small medical kit. Pack light according to the airline’s weight limits for carry-on.

Going on trips with a carry-on only is quite simple and will make things much easier for you when it comes to travel costs and moving around. With the tips discussed above, you will be able to experience stress-free travels around the world. So, prepare a proper plan and head out there because there is so much waiting for you to explore!
